Paper Submission

Submission of Abstract(postponed until February 1st 2010.)

We invite you to submit original, unpublished papers in the fields mentioned under Topics. The accepted papers will be published as IMEKO proceedings. A number of papers in specific topics will be selected by the Publication Committee for publication of updated versions and it will be encouraged to apply “Measurement”, which is IMEKO official publishing journal. The authors of papers/posters are requested to submit a short abstract via the conference website.

These directions are written in the format required for the abstract of the paper for International Symposium on Measurement and Quality Control 2010 (ISMQC2010, September 5-9, 2010, Osaka, Japan).

The abstract should be at least 200 words, but not exceeding 500 words in English. The author informations should be counted in the limitation of the abstract. Figures cannot be attached to the abstract. Abstract must include title of the paper, authors’ names, affiliation, phone and fax numbers, corresponding addresses and email addresses.
Microsoft Word or PDF format file is required to submit the abstracts.

Page margins should be 24mm for top margin, 20 mm for right and left, and 30mm for bottom margins. Use font type Times New Roman, with single spaced lines. Title of the paper (style: “Paper Title”, 12 points, all caps, centered) could span in maximum two rows, and is followed by a blank line. Author’s names and (style: “Authors”, 10 points, centered), family names are written in full. Authors are separated by commas and marked with superscript when necessary to distinguish authors from different affiliations. Author’s affiliations (style: “Author’s affiliations”, 10 points, italic, centered) are written in separate rows when there are more than one and last is followed by a blank lines. Abstract text (style “Paper text”, 10 points) is justified on middle; paragraphs should be indented.

The abstracts are to be submitted by December 24th 2009 February 1st 2010. The content of the abstracts will be the basis for acceptance of the paper presentation at ISMQC2010. The members of International Programme Committee will review the abstracts and authors will be informed about acceptance of their paper for presentation at Symposium by 20 January 2010.

Awards

Outstanding Paper Award

All accepted manuscripts are evaluated by the reviewer and the national organizing committee selected to the winning papers for the Outstanding paper award.

Young Researcher Award

ISMQC organizing committee support to encourage the young researcher. The selection of the winning papers will be the responsibility of the reviewers. The paper must be an original unpublished investigation dealing with research in measurement and quality control. Co-authorship is acceptable provided that the Young Researcher applicant is the primary author.
